DecomMissionBlue will be officially launched during the fair. We will celebrate this on Tuesday, October 26 from 4.30 pm with a Happy Hour at the pavilion. We will then not only briefly tell you about DecomMissionBlue, the initiative for circular decommissioning in the North Sea Canal area, but we can also discuss current developments. You do not need to pre-register for this Happy Hour.
DecomMissionBlue is facilitated by AYOP and founded by the AYOP members: BK Ingenieurs, Boskalis Netherlands, Building Careers, Koole Contractors/Decom Amsterdam, Mammoet, Port of Amsterdam, Reym, Seafox, Tata Steel and Van Leeuwen Zwanenburg Sloopwerken.
They share the ambition to tackle the growing challenge of dismantling and recycling offshore and maritime objects & installations (platforms, ships, wind turbines) in an efficient, fast and above all sustainable way. Not completely out of the blue. After all, a brand new shipyard will be opened behind the new sea lock, equipped to work tidal-free and thus time-saving. With an ideal geographical location in relation to the North Sea, and the advantage that all parts and materials can be processed within a radius of 16 kilometers, there are many opportunities for the established companies. The founding partners represent the entire value chain and reinforce each other by combining diverse expertise, disciplines, experience and perspectives.
